The Coded Letters

These letters, arranged chronologically, were found on the Trireme that ambushed the Siren’s Song on their way to Kingsport and were decoded by Rothlek.

Letter 1:
Aethelos,
Be prepared to move your cargo out of the Dark Harbor by the end of the week. You’ll be dealing with a buyer who’s trying to keep his identity secret. It’s considered polite to pretend we don’t know who he is. This is your chance to prove your worth to me, captain, perhaps even merit a face-to-face meeting, if you impress me.

Letter 2:
Aethelos,
I am pleased to hear you managed to get your Stone working properly at last. In the future I would expect less incompetence from my captains. While you were wasting time working your cargo to death rowing that tub you call a ship back to Dark Harbor, the rest of us have already began the second stage of my plan. The new cages are built, and the holding pools are ready for occupants. Stand by in Dark Harbor and wait for further instructions.

Letter 3: -this letter is damaged by saltwater, only some of it is legible
…that Terlago worm has let a group of privateers… his operation. They could find out… have an annoying habit of finding out these sort of things. I will not be thwarted by a scrappy band of misfits like the wicked witch in a fairy tale. We accelerate the plan… take your ship and use your Stone to ambush the Siren’s Song off the coast…
